B team drenched at Wortley

Full of optimism after winning their first match, the B team travelled to Wortley on Thursday 27th.  Conditions were always chilly and often uncomfortable as torrential showers appeared several times during the round - a shame because it is a really pleasant course with some unusually tricky holes.

 

Captain Mike Rimmington did all he could to motivate the team but the result matched the weather - we were drowned in a 1-5 defeat!

Special mention to Mikel Aguirre who played some excellent golf to be part of the only winning pair with a 4 and 2 victory.

 

Despite the result, this is a popular fixture for the B team with a course and  member camaraderie that is well worth the journey.

 

Next match is against Lees Hall on 1st June.
