Clubs new PGA Assistant

Dear Members,

I would like to introduce you to Jack Owen, who will be the Pro shop’s new PGA assistant when we start up again, he was originally supposed to start on April 6th but obviously this could not happen.

Born in Sheffield Jack learnt his golf at Birch Hall Golf Club, before becoming a member of Beauchief and then Lees Hall.

Jack has dedicated his higher education to golf, studying at College then University before becoming Assistant Professional at Beauchief golf course and starting his PGA training.
• Myerscough College, University of Central Lancashire - Foundation Degree in Golf Coaching
• University of Central Lancashire - Bachelor of Arts in Sports (Specialising in coaching and athlete development)
• PGA & Birmingham University - Professional Golf Studies

Jack is a competitive golfer regular taking part in the North region PGA circuit, as well as playing in both the Sheffield and Derbyshire Alliance.

Jack’s roles at the club will see him involved with:
• Providing members and visitors with all shop services
• Club Fitting Service
• Coaching – private lessons and group coaching
• Junior Academy organiser and Junior member organiser
• Competition and rules administration
• Representing the club in golf events

I hope we all get back to golf soon and you will give Jack a warm Sickleholme welcome when we are all back playing again.
