B Team v Bakewell

 

A closely contested match at Bakewell in fine conditions despite the threat of thunder. Captain, Ian Cooper selected strong pairings for the challenge of this 9 hole hillside course with difficult tee positions.

Steve Thuorgood and Jeff Farnell started with a halved match after which the individual performances followed the course (very up and down)

Wins by Larry Harfoot/Alan Hurst and Mick Green/John Brind kept the overall match level until the final pair just lost on the last hole, giving Bakewell  a close victory.  

As always the friendship and catering at Bakewell made this a very enjoyable fixture.
